Dr. Cheng Faat Ting Gary is the founder and managing director of the group. He leads diversified businesses in Professional Services, Financial, Trading and Real Estate areas, dedicated to making integrated and sustainable business locally and worldwide.

Dr. Cheng Faat Ting Gary began his auditing career in the mid-1990s at one of the "Big Six" accounting firms, Pricewaterhouse. In 1998, Gary founded Gary Cheng CPA Limited, gradually expanding its professional services to include taxation, due diligence, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate restructuring.

In 2000, Dr. Cheng was among the first recipients of the Professional Diploma in Insolvency, jointly offered by the University of Hong Kong Faculty of Law and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, establishing himself as a pioneer expert in corporate liquidation and taxation.

In 2011, he received the Specialist Designation (Insolvency) from HKICPA, becoming one of the first 16 experts in Hong Kong to receive this credential. In 2019, Dr. Cheng led his firm to become a registered public interest entity (PIE) auditor qualified for IPOs and the audit of listed companies. In 2021, Gary was accredited as a registered tax practitioner to practice in the Qianhai and Shekou areas of Shenzhen, further enhancing his ability to provide professional services to Mainland China clients.

Apart from the achievements in his professions, Gary actively serves the community by working for numerous organizations. Gary holds multiple positions at the Hong Kong City University. He is a current member of the CityU Court, an Academic Advisor to the CityU Academy of Innovation, and the Inaugural Mentor of HK Tech 300. In May 2021, CityU’s The Student Career Centre was named the “Judith and Gary Cheng Student Career Centre“. Dr. Cheng was conferred the title of CityU Honorary Fellow in 2022. Gary was also a member of the Social Welfare Advisory Committee of the Labour and Welfare Bureau of HKSAR Government.
