Inviting CY Leung to Discuss Hong Kong’s “New Quality Productive Forces” Advantages

On June 21, the China Entrepreneurs Organization invited Mr Leung Chun-ying, Vice-chairman of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), to discuss how Hong Kong can leverage its advantages in “New Quality Productive Forces.” Leung believes that Hong Kong can play an important role in the development of “New Quality Productive Forces” in the country, helping to sell high-quality “products” to a larger international market at better prices.  Dr. Gary Cheng, Chairman of the China Entrepreneurs Organization, and Prof. Stephen Chow, Founding Chairman, both expressed their agreement, recognizing that Hong Kong has the ability to cooperate with the country’s development of “New Quality Productive Forces.”

Leung pointed out that Hong Kong has a clear strength in having a credible, independent, third-party, non-profit Standards and Testing Centre (STC), which has been performing well. Hong Kong’s standards and reports have been recognized worldwide for at least 60 years. With the country’s proposal to develop “New Quality Productive Forces,” Hong Kong can contribute to the creation of internationally influential brands. The same quality products can be sold at different prices internationally due to differences in brand effects. Hong Kong’s network, including interpersonal relationships, is very comprehensive and rich, so the mainland can fully leverage Hong Kong’s capabilities to sell high-quality “products” to the international market at better prices.

Leung stated that this year marks the fifth anniversary of the release of the Outline Development Plan for the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. He hopes that Hong Kong and the cities in the Greater Bay Area can integrate more smoothly.  He suggested the establishment of a Greater Bay Area Card to facilitate the entry and exit of foreign permanent residents in Hong Kong to Guangdong cities in the Greater Bay Area, clearly conveying to the international community that our country continues to be open and welcomes foreign investment in China.

Gary Cheng, Chairman of the China Entrepreneurs Association, Professor Stephen Chow, Founding Chairman, former Chairman Dieter Yih, Larry Kwok, Edwin Tam, Charles Chow, and members including Vice Chairman Frankie Yeung, Vice Chairman Yu Pang Chun, Vice Chairman Chan Siu Hung, Public Relations Chairman Sophia Kao, Directors William Mak, William Leung, Daniel C.Y. Chan, Albert Wong, Michael Poon, James Li, Andrew Cheng, Ng Chui Yiu, Jennifer, and Steven Ma, had enthusiastic exchanges and in-depth discussions with Vice Chairman Leung Chun-ying.
