As the Academic Advisor of the CityU Academy of Innovation and the inaugural mentor of HK Tech 300, Dr. Gary Cheng was honored to participate in 

the HK Tech 300 National Start-up Competition (National Competition) 2nd Award Ceremony and the Launch of the 3rd Competition on 1 September at CityUHK (Dongguan).

The First HK Tech 300 National Start-up Competition was launched in 2022 to enhance cross-border innovation and technology development and foster closer ties in the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystems. Building on its success, the Second Competition was successfully held with partners from nine cities in the country. Through a rigorous selection process, 12 start-ups were chosen and will receive an Angel Fund investment of up to HK$1 million each from HK Tech 300.

The teams will advance to the Grand Final, competing for the Top 3 Awards, Technology Innovation Award, and Best Social Impact Award.
